Drone Day charts the evolution of drone music from its minimalist beginnings to its sound art and dance music present over eight hours of music.
The day will include a special visit from Charlemagne Palestine who will perform a new version of his seminal work for solo piano, Strumming Music. Cult immersive works by James Tenney, Eliane Radigue and Jem Finer will also fill the concrete space. And there will be a rare acoustic rendition of Brian Eno’s Music for Airports.
