Day two focuses on Parmegiani's music of the early 1970s, when his first experiments with sequencers led to a series of works in a more melodic and repetitive vein. At the time, a series of Paris concerts by US minimalist Terry Riley may also have fed into Parmegiani's hypnotic style. We also present a screening of the experimental gem L'écran transparent.
Both the short piece La roue ferris and the more susbstantial Pour en finir avec le pouvoir d'Orphée embody Parmegiani's almost hallucinogenic sense of movement, with looping cascades of electronics set against ominous drones.

Rashad Becker released his debut album Traditional Music of Notional Species Vol. 1 on PAN in 2013, to wide critical acclaim. Based in Berlin and closely affiliated with the international experimental and abstract music network, his approach to composition seeks to build a rythmically intriguing and harmonically dense sound narrative, inspired by social theory, physical bodies and a profound ear for worldly sonic accents and instrumental timbres. As a renowned mastering engineer, Becker was responsible for mastering a re-issue of Parmegiani's De Natura Sonorum in 2013.

Vessel is 24-year-old British producer Seb Gainsborough, described by Resident Advisor as "one of electronic music's brightest young minds". His output draws on notions of collage and transformation, and has been released through Tri-Angle and the Mute Imprint, Liberation Technologies.
Vessel will also be performing at the LCMF after event hosted by ACE HOTEL from 1.30am.
