Our series begins with Parmegiani's long-form masterpiece, La Création du monde: a vast tableau in which the history of the universe is imagined and recounted in acousmatic form. The piece is one of the only electroacoustic works ever to have been honoured by France's 'Victoires de la musique' awards.

Before this we present the early work Violostries, co-composed with violinist Davy Erlih in 1964. With its dramatic, brooding violin part, the piece stands as a high point of Parmegiani's work featuring live performers.
There will also be a UK premiere screening of the short documentary Bernard Parmegiani, Sur un temps, featuring rare archive footage of Parmegiani at work at the GRM studios in Paris.
