This year, in association with the La Camionera – the official LCMF pre-/post-festival bar – we welcome back a couple of old friends of LCMF, Charlemagne Palestine and Maggie Nicols, two legends of the experimental music and improvisation scenes. Charlemagne will present a new work for solo organ in the evening of 14 December, while Maggie presents her first work for symphony orchestra on 13 December and performs in a debut trio with Steve Beresford and Edward George on 12 December.
On Saturday 14 December we will sit down with Charlemagne (2pm) and Maggie (3pm) at La Camionera on Wells Street – 10 minutes walk from Hackney Church – to discuss their extraordinary life and work.
