Shifting our perception of what opera can do and be, we present new Gesamtkunstwerks from the award-winning audio-visual artist Ed Atkins, composer Jennifer Walshe (pictured above with Aisha Orazbayeva), theatre-maker Alexander Zeldin and choreographer Melanie Lomoff.
Alongside these works will be freshly realised versions of Kurt Schwitters’s pioneering Ur-Sonate, György Kurtág’s Kafka Fragments, the famous Knee Plays from Philip Glass’s Einstein on the Beach and an excerpt from Laurie Anderson’s celebrated United States performance.
